The book Happy by Miles Van Hout makes a great introduction to this lesson.    


I've found that Crayola Washable Markers work best for this because they bleed more than the other brands I tested.




I'm using woodless colored pencils for the texture rubbing.

You can also make your own texture rubbing plates.  



Here are the Googly Eyes I used.  They are so much fun!



I used Crayola Oil Pastels for this example.
